Montana FoodCorps service member Nicki Jimenez has been working hard to introduce young Montanans all across the Mission Valley to fresh, nutritious, locally grown foods. One way she does this is by bringing regional farmers and their produce into classrooms to host educational taste tests. Recently, Nicki and a classroom of Polson fourth graders did some “beet” math and then snacked together on roasted beets grown in the Mission Valley. Read the article in the Valley Journal.
